ROSIE TIP OF THE WEEK:

Tips from ROSIE’S – Painting for a Professional Look

Removing hardware and taping off areas you‘re not painting are both time consuming but necessary steps. Remove all hardware is important for a fresh new look. Hardware can be cleaned with soap and water or updated by spraying with a coat of paint. Recently we update a piece by using Rustoleum’s metallic bronze, leaving them looking like brand new pieces. Often times, you may find it necessary to carefully paint along an edge without overlapping. Taping off that area, while time-consuming, gives your piece a more professional look. Use painter's tape to tape off parts of your piece that you’re not painting. I prefer the wide one for any overpainting. It will ensure you get nice, straight lines and you don't cross over onto an area you don't want to be painted. Also, let the paint thoroughly dry before removing the tape to ensure a smooth paint line. Happy Painting!!🎨
